Mini Grant for CASE Subdivisions
The Council of Administrators of Special Education (CASE) is proud to offer the CASE State Subdivision Mini Grant, created to support and empower current and emerging state subdivisions. This grant provides financial assistance to subdivisions developing new programs within their state unit, working toward becoming an officially recognized CASE subdivision, or expanding opportunities for CASE members at the state level. Welcome, LASEA — Our Newest Charter Unit
The Louisiana Association of Special Education Administrators (LASEA) received their official charter recognizing the organization as a CASE State Unit on June 16, 2025, during their Board of Directors meeting. LASEA will be recognized as the 43rd CASE State Unit at The 2025 CASE Conference to be held November 5-7, 2025 in Oklahoma City, OK. CASE is excited to collaborate with LASEA members as we continue our shared mission to lead, support, and advocate for excellence in special education administration. Together, we will strengthen professional networks, share innovative practices, and enhance outcomes for students with disabilities across Louisiana and beyond. Julie Weatherly's goal in providing this Manual to educators is "to help school entities that may believe it is time to consider reviewing their 504 forms and procedures, or entirely recreating them." In addition to the Manual, CASE and Julie Weatherly, Esq. are offering a virtual training specifically to train individuals and/or teams on how to implement the manual, and answer any questions regarding the use of the information to establish any needed updated procedures in school districts.
